Cool Kashayam recipe - How to make Cool Kashayam

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 servings

Ingredients
1/2 cup tulsi (indian basil) leaves
1/2 cup dried oregano leaves
2 stems of lemon grass
5 small gooseberries , deseeded and chopped
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp jaggery (gur)
12 tsp ginger (adrak)
1 tsp lemon juice
Method
    Method
  1. Dissolve the jaggery in one litre of water and strain to remove sand particles, dirt etc.
  2. Combine the tulsi , oregano, lemon grass, ginger and gooseberries and blend in a mixer till smooth.
  3. Add the jaggery water, lemon juice, honey and blend again in mixer till smooth.
  4. Strain and remove the pulp.
  5. Serve chilled.
