Coconut Kheer recipe - How to make Coconut Kheer

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 to 5 bowls

1 cup soaked rice (chawal)
1 ltr milk
200 ml condensed milk
5 tbsp freshly grated coconut
8-10 dates (khajur)
sugar to taste
ghee as required
  1. Coarsely grind the soaked rice.
  2. Deseed the dates and cut one date into 2 pieces.
  3. In a pan heat the ghee add the coconut and dates till light brown.
  4. Heat the milk till boils, add the rice and keep stirring till rice is cooked.
  5. Add the condensed milk and mix well.
  6. Combine the coconut and date and blend till coarse and add it to the milk and mix well.
  7. Add sugar to taste and dry nuts and mix well.
  8. Serve chilled.
