Chunna One Meal Dish recipe - How to make Chunna One Meal Dish

2 ltrs milk
150 gms wheat (gehun)
4 tbsp sugar (as required)
6 to 8 saffron (kesar) strands
2 pinches of cardamom (elaichi) powder
2 to 3 tbsp ghee
1 cup water
  1. Crush partly the whole wheat in a dry blender with 3-4t sp of water.
  2. Take this in a plate and with the help of your hands rub the crushed wheat so that all the husk is separated.
  3. Toss the plate to remove all the husk out.
  4. Boil the milk in a heavy bottomed kadai.
  5. When the milk starts boiling, add crushed wheat, ghee, saffron, elachi powder, and 1 cup of water.
  6. After one boil, cover it with a lid and simmer the gas till the wheat is cooked and the milk is thickened (35min).
  7. Add sugar and remove the kadai from the gas.
  8. Pour the chunna in a serving dish and garnish it with almonds and pista.
  9. Serve hot.
