  1. Clean, wash and soak the rice for 20 minutes then drain the water and keep aside.
  2. Chop pineapple in small pieces and keep aside.
  3. Heat oil and ghee in a non-stick pan and add the cumin seeds.
  4. When the seeds crackle, add the green chillies and saute for 30 seconds.
  5. Add the capsicum and saute for a few seconds.
  6. Add the rice ,pineapple ,salt and chilli flakes, mix well and saute for more few seconds.
  7. Add 1/2 cup syrup from canned pineapple and 2 cups water, mix well and bring to boil.
  8. Cover and cook on slow flame for 10 minutes or till cooked completly.
  9. Serve hot.
