A Chinese cuisine inspired vegetable preparation, Chilli aloo is prepared by stir frying fried potatoes or aloo with sliced capsicum, onions in soya and chilli sauce. A sour and spicy potato vegetable dish which can be enjoyed as starter or side dish.

300 gms small sized potatoes (do not peel)
1 capsicum , cubed
1 onion , cubed
1/2 tbsp chopped garlic (lehsun)
1/2 tbsp chopped ginger (adrak)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tbsp green chilli sauce
1/4 tbsp vinegar
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
1 tbsp cornflour
salt to taste
oil for saute
4 tsp water
  1. Take potatoes donot peel them.
  2. Take a frying pan and deep fry the potatoes after cutting them into 2 but donot peel its skin.
  3. Mix cornflour with water and keep aside.
  4. Now take a little oil in a frying pan.
  5. Add chopped ginger and garlic to it.
  6. Then add sliced capcisum and onion saute for 2 min.
  7. Then add fried potatoes to it finally add soya sauce, chilli sauce,vinegar,sugar and chopped green corriender cook for 2 min.
  8. Now add the cornflour mixture after stirring it once.
  9. Cook for 2 min.
  10. Serve hot
