  1. Combine the ginger and sugar in 2 cups of water and mix well.
  2. Bring the liquid to boil till the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Add the mint leaves, coriander, beetle and basil leaves and mix well.
  4. Remove from the flame, cover and keep aside to cool completely.
  5. Strain the mixture and add the cumin seeds and salt and mix well.
  6. While serving, mix one part this syrup with 3 parts of water and serve with crushed ice.
