Chana Daal Subzi recipe - How to make Chana Daal Subzi

  1. Heat the oil in a pressure cooker and add the garlic, onions and ginger and saute till onions turn golden brown.
  2. Add the salt, chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix well.
  3. Add the tomatoes and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Add the chana dal and saute for another 2 minutes.
  5. Add 4 cups of water and pressure cook the dal on a slow flame for 3 to 4 whistles.
  6. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
  7. Add mango powder and garam masala, mix well and serve thot garnished with coriander.
