After making cauliflower curry, i had a small portion left over. So i thought of making some snack item with the remaining cauliflower for a evening munch. I used to prepare onion pakoda before. So i thought of making something similar with cauliflower too.

Cauliflower Pakodas recipe - How to make Cauliflower Pakodas

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 2 to 4 servings

500 gms cauliflower , grated
2 onions , chopped
5 to 6 garlic (lehsun) cloves , grated
2 tsp grated ginger (adrak)
1/2 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
1 tbsp poppy seeds (khus-khus)
2 tbsp freshly grated coconut
salt to taste
a pinch turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
oil for deep frying
  1. Boil the cauliflower in salted water for 7 minutes in a microwave oven.
  2. Drain and add all the ingredients and mix well to make a thick smooth batter.
  3. Heat the oil in a kadhai and drop small balls of mixture and deep fry till they turn golden brown and crisp from all the sides.
  4. Drain on an absorbent paper and serve hot.
