A brilliant soup that is perfect for the apple of your eyes! This satiating soup is loaded with vitamin A from carrots and protein from moong dal, which team up to improve your child’s vision.
Apart from the nutrient quotient, these two ingredients also make the soup very tasty. While moong dal thickens the soup, carrot gives it a lovely sweetness and bright colour.
Your child, who is growing into a real gourmet now, might also like a little more flavour, which a dash of pepper will happily provide.
- Combine the carrot and yellow moong dal in a pressure cooker, mix well and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
- Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
- Allow the mixture to cool completely, once cooled blend in a mixer till smooth along with ½ cup of warm water.
- Add the pepper powder and mix well.
- Serve lukewarm.
