Ingredients

3 cups long grained rice (basmati)
4 carrots
1 small sized onion
10-12 cashews
2 tsp chilli powder
4 or 5 bayleaves
1 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
6 tbsp oil or ghee
1tsp each cummin seeds
1/2 tsp gingergarlic paste
salt to taste
Method

  2. First we have to grate carrots and keep a side.
  3. Soak basmati rice by adding 4cups of water for 20 minutes and prepare rice. and let it cool.in a heavy saucepan heat the oil.add cumin seeds to splutter, then add onions,bayleaves,gigergarlic paste and fry them until they turn into brown. to same oil add the grated carrots and fry until that rawness is gone. and then add turmeric,chilli,salt and ma
