2 cups sugar
2 cups plain flour (maida) , sifted
4 eggs
4 cups peeled and grated carrot
1 1/2 cups oil
6 tsp cinnamon (dalchini) powder
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt

for frosting--
1 pound of unsalted butter
1 pound of cream cheese
1 (8 oz.) can canned pineapple
1/2 box icing sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts (akhrot) to sprinkle on top
method for the cake:

    method for the cake:
  1. Cream together the sugar and the eggs. add the carrots
  2. And the oil. slowly add all of the dry ingredients and
  3. Beat until smooth. divide evenly into three (butter
  4. And flour) prepared 9 inch cake pans. bake at 350
  5. Degrees until they are done. around 30 minutes.
  6. For the frosting:
  7. Whip the cream cheese and the butter together until
  8. They are smooth. add the pineapple and the juice to
  9. The mixture. add the sugar and whip until smooth.
  10. Frost the cake only after it cools.
