Cabbage Cutlets recipe - How to make Cabbage Cutlets

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 8 to 10 servings

500 gms cabbage , shredded
2 onions , finely chopped
250 gms potatoes , peeled , boiled and mashed
salt to taste
2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
1 cup finely chopped coriander (dhania)
12 to 15 broken cashewnuts (kaju)
1 tsp chilli powder
a pinch turmeric powder (haldi)
1 egg , beaten
ghee for deep frying
  1. Heat some ghee in a pan and add the onions, cabbage, green chillies, potatoes and saute till golden brown.
  2. Add the cashewnuts, coriander, turmeric powder, and salt and mix well.
  3. Divide the mixture into equal sized round flat cutlets.
  4. Heat the ghee in a kadhai and dip each cutlet in the egg and deep fry till golden brown and crisp from all the sides.
  5. Serve immediately.
