Method
    Method
  1. Heat the oil in a pan, add the urad dhal and saute till it changes its colour.
  2. Add the red chillies and asafoetida and saute for few minutes.
  3. Add the onions and saute for 2 minutes or till they turn translucent.
  4. Add the cabbage, mix well and cook for 3 minutes.
  5. Remove from the flame and keep aside to cool.
  6. Blend in a mixer along with tamarind juice, salt to a smooth paste.
  7. Serve immediately or store refrigerated.
