A traditional Parsi delicacy which is made using caramelised onions and sugar which together impart a deep brown colour to this rice. Serve with any dal or Chinese noodles or Mexican food.

2 cups rice (chawal)
1 tsp garam masala
2 tea bags
salt to taste
1 to 2 tsp ghee

  1. Wash rice and put them in a pressure cooker along with 2 cups of water.
  2. Add garam masala, ghee, salt, and tea bags.
  3. Wait until one whistle of the cooker and then let the steam out gradually.
