  1. To cook brown rice, soak the brown rice in enough water for 30 minutes and drain well.
  2. Combine the brown rice along with 1 cup of water in a pressure cooker and pressure cook for 7 whistles.
  3. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
  4. Separate each grain of the brown rice lightly with a fork. Use as required.

How to cook Brown Rice (Pressure Cooker Method):

  1. Take a deep bowl with enough water and soak 3/4 cup raw brown rice in it for about 30 minutes.
  2. Drain the rice well with the help of a strainer and discard the water.
  3. Put the soaked rice into a pressure cooker. Making pressure cooker brown rice is much faster than cooking brown rice on a stove. 
  4. Add about 2 cups of water to cook the rice. Close the lid and pressure cook for 7 whistles. Let the steam escape naturally before opening the lid.
