  1. Soak dhall with asafoetida and chillies for 30 minutes.
  2. Drain and grind to a hard, coarse paste along with salt.
  3. Steam this paste in a greased idli mould for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove, cool and powder the idlis in the dry mixer.
  5. Take oil ina kadai.
  6. Add mustard seeds and udad dhall.
  7. When the dhall turns red, add the broccoli.
  8. Cook covered till the broccoli is soft.
  9. Add the powder, mix well and saute,till the whole dish is powdery and soft.
  10. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
