Ingredients

400 gms broccoli
2 tbsp plain flour (maida)
1/2 tsp cornflour
4 tbsp cream cheese
1 cup milk
1 tbsp butter or corn oil
salt to taste
black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste
Method

  1. Seperate the brocolli into flowerets and steam for 10mins.do not overcook.

Make the sauce:

  1. Heat butter/oil and stir in the flour and cornflour.
  2. Keep the heat low so that the flour does not burn.
  3. Stir for a few mins and then add in the milk .
  4. The sauce will thicken within a few mins.
  5. Now add salt pepper and the cream cheese.
  6. Stir and mix well.
  7. Adjust by adding milk to get thick custard pouring consistency.

How to proceed:

  1. Stir in the steamed brocolli and mix well making sure that the florets do not break up.
  2. Can be served with naan.
