Bread Bun Salad

Simple and filling. For those who do not eat bread can use pieces of dhokla, idli, uttapam, khakra, rotis, cornflakes, puris. Traditionally it is always mixed with hand. Its an italian origin salad. Here we make it fully vegetarian. Children will find it appealing when topped with caramelized pop-corns.

Bread Bun Salad recipe - How to make Bread Bun Salad

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 to 6 servings

6 french buns
1 onion , cut into thin slices
1 tomato , chopped
1 potato , chopped
1 cucumber , chopped
1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tsp crushed garlic (lehsun)
salt and freshly ground black pepper powder to taste
1 tsp roasted and powdered cumin seeds (jeera)
  1. Take roughly torn pieces of bun bread in to a deep bowl.
  2. Add all other ingredients and mix using hand.
  3. Serve and eat fresh with lime juice.
