Beetroot chatney recipe - How to make Beetroot chatney

1 cup grated beetroot
1/2 cup urad dal (split black lentils)
1/2 big sized coconut, grated
4 red chillies
a few curry leaves (kadi patta)
a small sized ball of tamarind (imli)
3 cloves of garlic (lehsun)
salt to taste


  1. In oil (2 tsp) fry uraddal till goldenbrown,add curryleaves,red chillies,garlic saute.
  2. Add beetroot and saute well till cooked.
  3. Add coconut and saute 2mts.grind with tamarind,salt to thick chatney.
  4. Eat with rice.
