Pacchadi is to be served with South Indian meal followed by payasam.Here is a healthy and mouthwatering beetroot pacchadi. Pacchadi’s can be eaten with rice also.A festive South Indian meal is not complete without pacchadi.

Beetroot Pacchadi recipe - How to make Beetroot Pacchadi


Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 serving

3 grated beetroot
2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/4 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
salt to taste
2 tsp coconut oil or any other refined oil for seasoning
2 1/2 cups fresh curds (dahi)
  1. Heat oil in non stick pan add mustard seeds, when the seeds crackles, add cumin seeds, beetroot and green chillies and sauté till 2 to 3 minutes or till it is cooked.
  2. Cool it to room temperature.
  3. Add fresh curd in it.
  4. Serve immediately.
