  1. Soak rice and dal in enough water for 30 minutes. Drain and keep aside.
  2. Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker, add the masalas and saute for 1 minute.
  3. Add the rice and chana dal and mix well.
  4. Add the salt, mix well and pressure cook for 2 whistles or till the dal is cooked.
  5. Serve hot.
