Bangla Khichudi recipe - How to make Bangla Khichudi

  1. Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker and add the cumin seeds.
  2. When the seeds crackle, add the ginger paste and saute for 20 seconds.
  3. Add the onions and saute till they turn translucent.
  4. Add the fried vegetables and saute for 2 mins.
  5. Add the dry masalas and mix well.
  6. Add the tomatoes and green chillies and saute, till the oil separates.
  7. Add the rice and dal, salt and mix well.
  8. Add enough water, mix well and pressure cook for 2-3 whistles.
  9. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
  10. Serve hot.
