Banana Lassi

The creamy banana lassi is a nice variation to the popular and traditional yogurt-based lassi drink (sweet or salted)which originated in the punjab region of the indian subcontinent. It is made by blending yoghurt with mashed banana and sugar to prepare a sweet creamy lip smacking banana lassi.

3 medium sized bananas
1 1/2 cups hung curds (chakka dahi)
5 tbsp honey
crushed ice as required
lemon juice to taste
  1. Peel the bananas and cut into small pieces.
  2. Whisk the curds, add the bananas, lime juice, honey and blend in a mixer till smooth.
  3. Add some cold water and ice and blend again till smooth.
  4. Serve chilled in tall glasses.
