Baked Vegetables 1 recipe - How to make Baked Vegetables 1


Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 serving

1 cup french beans
1/2 cup carrot
1/2 cup peas
1 cup baby corn
1/2 cup cauliflower (optional)
1/2 cup potatoes (optional)
salt to taste
other ingredients
grated processed cheese for sprinkling

For The White Sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp plain flour (maida)
1 cup milk
a pinch of cinnamon (dalchini) powder

    For the White Sauce
  1. Heat butter in non stick pan. After it melts, add maida.
  2. Fry the maida till you start getting the aroma, but make sure that it does not turn pink or brown.
  3. Let the maida cool, add milk. Stir well.
  4. Add sugar and mix well.
  5. Bring the mixture to boil and cook till it becomes little thick.
  6. Remove from the fire.
  7. Cool it to room temperature and then add cinnamon powder.
  8. Keep aside.

  1. Wash all the vegetables and chop them in medium size.
  2. Put the vegetables, salt and water in a deep pan and half cook them.
  3. Put all the half cooked vegetables in in a baking tray.
  4. Pour prepared white sauce over vegetables and bake in a pre heated oven at 300 degrees for 10- 15 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle grated cheese over it and bake till it melts.
  6. Serve hot.
