Spice up the traditional rice recipe with roasted chopped onions, green chillies and tomatoes and enjoy the Bagara rice with raita as main course meal choice. The spice laden bagara rice is quite easy to prepare and a quick recipe which can be also prepared with vegetables.
- Fry the onions till golden brown add the green chillies, cloves, cinnammon, cardamom, curry leaves, mint leaves, ginger/garlic paste and fry on low heat till the raw smell goes.
- Add tomatoes and fry nicely,
- Then add the rice and fry for few minutes,
- Add the salt to taste, 7 cups of water and bring to boil, then lower flame cover and cook for 8-10 minutes.
