Badam sharbat is a healthy drink recipe prepared from crushed badam or almonds. A rich and healthful mix of almonds with poppy seeds, magaz seeds and elaichi powder render a cool delicious flavour to this popular sharbat recipe.

Method


  1. Soak the badaams(almonds),khuskhus and magaj
  2. overnight.make a fine paste of the badaams after taking out the peels.
  3. Make a fine paste of others too.take water in a pan and boil it.
  4. Add sugar and boil till a syrup is obtained.
  5. Then add the green elaichi (powdered form).
  6. Then add the paste and stir to a boil.
  7. Take off from fire and cool.
  8. Sieve it and put it in bottles.

It turned really nice. Sugar is a little on higher side. But you haven''t mentioned if this sharbat can be left out on the shelf or we need to refrigerate it. If you could kindly tell me something in regard of storage. Thank you.

Tarla Dalal    Thank you for your feedback. This is not a Tarla Dalal recipe. This is a member contributed recipe. It is best to store refrigerated, since there are no preservatives added in homemade syrups.
