This is excellent recipe for children. They not only get the goodness of dry fruits as well as feel nice when given something different from the regular parathas.

Ingredients

For The Dough
1 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
salt to taste
1 tsp oil

To Be Mixed and Grounded Into A Powder
6 cashewnuts (kaju) , roasted
6 almonds (badam) , roasted
6 pistachios , roasted
6 walnuts (akhrot) , roasted

Other Ingredients
whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta) for rolling
ghee for cooking
Method

For the dough

    For the dough
  1. Combine the wheat flour, salt and oil with enough water and knead a soft dough.
  2. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and keep aside.
  3. Divide the prepared powder into 6 equal portions and keep aside.
  4. Roll out a portion of the dough into a circle of 4” diameter.
  5. Place a portion of the powder at the centre and bring the edges together at the centre to seal tightly.
  6. Roll out again into a circle of 6” diameter, using little whole wheat flour.
  7. Heat a tava and cook each paratha, using little ghee, till golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
  8. Repeat the same steps to make 5 more parathas.
  9. Serve hot.
