Ingredients

For The Tikkis
4 boiled potatoes , mashed
4 tbsp grated raw mango
4 tbsp moong dal (split green gram) , soaked and coarsely ground
2 tsp roasted cumin seeds (jeera) powder
2 tbsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
2 tbsp green chilli paste
salt to taste
4 tsp plain flour (maida) dissolved in 2 tbsp water
bread crumbs for coating
oil for deep frying

For Chutney
4 tbsp chopped red capsicum
2 cloves (laung / lavang)
1 tsp olive oil
8 tbsp chopped raw mangoes
2 tbsp jaggery (gur)
salt to taste
Method
For chutney

    For chutney
  1. Heat oil in a pan, add the cloves and capsicum and saute for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the raw mangoes and sauté till becomes little soft.
  3. Add the jaggery and salt and saute for few more minutes. Keep aside.

For the tikkis

    For the tikkis
  1. Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan, add 1/2 tsp green chilli paste, raw mango and sauté for 2 minutes.
  2. Add moong dal and sauté till cooked.
  3. Add salt, mix well and cook and keep aside to cool.
  4. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, except the maida paste and bread crumbs and mix well.
  5. Roll small tikis with the dal mixtures inside.
  6. Make about small 8 tikis.
  7. Roll them in maida paste and wrap with bread crumb.
  8. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry till they turn golden brown.
  9. Serve hot with prepared chutney.
