Aloo Tuk recipe - How to make Aloo Tuk

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 to 5 servings

500 gms potatoes
oil for deep-frying
salt to taste
2 tsp coriander (dhania) seeds powder
a pinch of turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp dried mango powder (amchur)
1 tsp chilli powder
  1. Peel and slice the potatoes in rounds, not very thin.
  2. Sprinkle some salt on the potatoes and keep aside for some time.
  3. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry the potatoes till they turn golden brown and crisp.
  4. Drain and keep aside.
  5. Heat 2 tsp oil in another pan and add the fried potatoes adn saute on high flame.
  6. Add the remaining ingredients, mix well and saute on a high flame for 2 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
