Aloo Narial ka Meetha recipe - How to make Aloo Narial ka Meetha

5 potatoes , boiled , peeled and mashed
1 coconut , grated and coarsely powdered
1 1/4 kgs sugar
1 cup fresh cream
1 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
6 tbsp ghee
2 tbsp castor sugar
  1. Combine the potato paste, coconut, sugar and cream in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Heat 3 tbsp ghee in a pan and add the above mixture and saute till pink, adding castor sugar, cardamom powder and all the remaining ghee except 1 tsp.
  3. When the mixture becomes a ball, remove and pat into a ghee greased platter.
  4. Cool and cut into diamond shapes with a greased knife.
  5. Serve on a bed of rose petals.
