Achaari Aloo Recipe recipe - How to make Achaari Aloo Recipe

3 potatoes
1 medium onion , diced
1 medium tomato , diced
1 chopped green chillies
1 tbsp dried fenugreek leaves
salt to taste
chilli powder to taste
1/2 tbsp coriander seeds powder
1/4 tbsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tbsp mustard oil
1/4 tbsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder
1/4 tbsp dried fenugreek leaves
  1. Heat oil in a pan and when hot enough add the cumin seeds powder and onions and saute till its brownish in colour.
  2. Add the tomatoes and salt, coriander powder, turmeric powder and red chilli and methi masala, mix well and saute till it leaves the extra oil in the pan.
  3. Add the green chilli, potatoes and 200 ml water and put the lid on it.
  4. After 1 whistle lower the flame for 10 minutes.
  5. Serve hot garnished with coriander and kasoori methi.
