benefits of kulith (horse gram ) : horse gram is a Indian lentil which is good for diabetics as it is high in protein and low in calories. Having kulith will prevent your blood sugar from shooting up. Yes, kulith is also protein rich. The nutritive value of horse gram is almost similar to other pulses.  It's regular consumption relieves the pain of dry piles.  In women, it helps purify menstruation. 

Kulith is usuallly eaten in winters in Himachal pradesh as it is said to bring heat in the body. Some make sambar with sprouted horse gram.
