TOMATO SAUCE (MICROWAVE)

Cooking Time : 9 mins. 45 secs.
Makes 1 teacup.
Method

Cut the tomatoes into big pieces. Put them into a shallow dish and microwave on HIGH for 4 to 5 minutes. Blend in a liquidiser and strain.

Put the butter in a glass bowl and melt it by microwaving on HIGH for about 15 seconds.

Add the onion and garlic and SIMMER (Cook Level 5) for about 1 1/2 minutes.

Add the tomato puree, chilli powder, tomato ketchup, cornflour mixture, sugar and salt. Microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring in-between after every 1 minute.
