BREAD CRUMBS

Description: Dried Bread Crumbs are made by toasting bread till it is crisp and then crushing it to a powder. This is usually used to coat certain foods like cutlets or as a topping for a baked dish etc
Use: These are used in cooking for coating items of food or as a topping for certain dishes or even as a thickening agent. Bread crumbs can be white (made from fresh bread), brown (made from toasted bread) or dried (made from bread which is a day old or dried in the oven). Fresh Bread Crumbs are made by crumbling fresh bread into small pieces. These are usually used as a binding agent, eg. in cutlets, patties etc.
How to store: Store it in an airtight container in a cool dry place.
