bourbon biscuit

Also Known As

Bourbon, Bourbon Cream

Description

Bourbon biscuits are a favourite amongst all age groups and have been in the biscuit industry for a really long time. The early origins of this biscuit go up to 1910. Technically, bourbon biscuits fall under the "sandwich biscuits" category. Thin oblong chocolate biscuits sandwiched with a chocolate cream filling make up Bourbon biscuits.

There have been many biscuit manufacturers who have tried to ape this recipe of a chocolate biscuit with cream filling. However, the term "bourbon" is attached to Britannia whose bourbon biscuits are sprinkled on top with grain sugar.
