Raspberry soda is a non-alcoholic cocktail. It's a great party drink. It has an appealing look with a very good flavour. A great favourite with those who enjoy a sweeter, softer flavour. Mixes extremely well with cool spring water or soda water. Raspberry juice in combination with soda is one of the finest beverages. Carbonated water, also known as sparkling water, fizzy water, soda water, club soda, seltzer water, or pop water is plain water into which carbon dioxide gas has been dissolved, and is the major and defining component of most "soft drinks". Raspberry soda is the nectar of the gods.
How to Select
Raspberry soda is available in market in tin form. Also, you can make at home by mixing raspberry juice or raspberry syrup with Soda. Choose a bottle of soda that is sealed well. Whereas raspberries are highly perishable, they should only be purchased one or two days prior to use. Choose berries that are firm, plump and deep in color, while avoiding those that are soft, mushy or moldy. If you are buying berries prepackaged in a container, make sure that they are not packed too tightly, since this may cause them to become crushed and damaged, and that the container has no signs of stains or moisture, indication of possible spoilage
Culinary Uses
· Raspberry soda can be added to a scoop of raspberry ice cream along with fresh raspberry chopped. It can actually be added to any base of ice cream and then soda can be poured for a creamy raspberry soda. Vanilla ice cream goes well.
· Raspberry Lemonade is a wonderful summer treat.
· Raspberry Soda is a great accompaniment to pizza, pancakes, waffles, desserts and an all time non alcoholic party drink.
How to Store
Once the can is open, serve it immediately. It cannot be stores further as all the fizz is lost. At home, raspberry juice can stay for 3 to 4 days. Use as needed.
