Tarla Dalal    Chia seeds is mainly available in the form of seeds only. If you wish, you can powder it in a mixer. But, kindly note that some oils might be released while grinding the seeds.

Tarla Dalal    Chia seeds have a tendency to absorb water and swell. We have recommended 1 hour of soaking in 2 cups of water. So if you soak overnight, you may have to adjust the quantity of water used.

Hello mam.. I want to try this recipe for weight loss. I want to know if it is necessary to keep the chia seeds soaked in water in refrigerator or can be kept at room temperature ? Also want to know if we should first wash the chia seeds with water before soaking in water . ? Or its not required ?

Tarla Dalal    For soaking, keep it at room temperature. Also there is no need to wash the seeds. Just clean them and soak.
