Little bits of walnuts are nothing short of a treasure in every bite, as they are an exciting contrast to the chocolaty sweetness of the Indian style chocolate fudge!

eggless chocolate walnut fudge generally brings to mind a chewy texture and rich mouth-feel, which make one drool just at the thought of it.

Notes on eggless chocolate walnut fudge. 1. Take a broad non- stick pan and add the condensed milk. Make sure that your pan is not too hot or else the condensed milk will burn from the bottom. 2. Add cocoa powder. This is the key ingredient of our recipe. You can use cocoa powder with 100 % cocoa if you wish to add a little depth to your Chocolate Walnut Fudge. 3. Mix all the ingredients well and cook on a medium flame for about 3 to 4 minutes. Keep stirring continuously to prevent the mixture from becoming lumpy. Remove it from the flame to avoid overcooking. When some about of butter slightly separates from the mixture, it is a sign that your mixture is cooked. 4. Transfer the mixture immediately (while it is hot) into the greased tin and spread it evenly with the help of the back of a spoon. Apply a little water on the spoon. This will prevent the mixture from sticking to the spoon. 5. Pat the mixture lightly with your hands to smoothen the surface further. 6. Keep the Chocolate and Walnut Fudge aside to cool down and set for about 30 minutes or till it cools completely and sets.

Tarla Dalal    Hi Mohini, If you found it very sweet, you can omit the sugar, do not reduce anything further as it will get bitter as there is cocoa powder.
