Tasty batter based breakfast cooked in a waffle iron. Serve these hot waffles with ice cream or honey.

1/2 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
2 tbsp cornflour
3 pinches of baking soda
1/4 tsp yeast
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp honey
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp warm milk
1 pinch of salt
2 tbsp warm water


  1. Sprinkle sugar and yeast over warm water, keep aside till frothy.
  2. Sieve together flour, cornflour, salt, and soda.
  3. Mix together milk, honey, butter, in a bowl.
  4. Add flour a little at a time.
  5. Add yeast solution, beat to a smooth paste.
  6. Heat waffle iron, brush with butter a little butter
  7. Pour batter, and cook till golden on both sides.
  8. Serve hot and crisp with jam, cheese or even icecream.
