Spicy Moong Dal
 
 
Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 15 mins
Serves / Makes : 4
 
Ingredients
1.moong dhal(with or without skin)--1/2 cup
2.Jeera--1/2 tsp
3.green chilles--2
4.tomatoes(chopped)--2
5.garlic(chopped)--2 cloves
6.cloves--3
7.chilli powder--1/2 tsp
8.haldi--1/4 tsp
9.garam masala--3/4 tsp
10.salt to taste
11.2 tsp oil
 
Method
1.Wash and cook dhal in pressure cooker for 1 whistle.
Mash.
2.Meanwhile, in a kadai, heat oil.
3.Add jeera. When it splutters
add the garlic, cloves and green chillies.
4.Saute for 1 minute. Add the tomatoes and chilli powder.Saute till the tomatoes are soft.
5.Add some haldi and the garam masala along with cooked dhal.
5. Add salt to taste and heat through till well mixed.
6. Serve, garnished with dhania leaves.
7. Goes well with rice or any roti or chapathi.
