Vegetable stock is a subtly flavoured liquid made by simmering water with some vegetables and spices. It can be used as a base for different soups and sauces instead of water to give it a better flavour profile.

Ingredients


For The Vegetable Stock
1/4 cup roughly onions
1/4 cup peeled and roughly chopped carrots
1/4 cup roughly chopped cabbage
1/4 cup roughly chopped cauliflower
2 tbsp roughly chopped celery (ajmoda)

Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a deep pan with 6 cups of water and mix well.
  2. Simmer for approx. 20 minutes or till they release flavour.
  3. Strain using a strainer. Keep the stock aside and discard the vegetables.

A quick and easy recipe to make... this vegetable stock can rightly be called as the "Vegetarians Master Stock" as you can use it not just to make soups but also in your curries or even your daily subzis... also not to forget.. this stock will not just add flavor to your meal but also all the rich nutrient values, that come for the the variety of vegetables used to make this stock... Enjoy it...
