Vegetable Chow - Chow recipe - How to make Vegetable Chow - Chow

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:     Makes 8 servings

Ingredients
100 gms cucumber
100 gms french beans
225 gms cabbage
100 gms cauliflower
2 capsicum
3 onions
4 sticks celery (ajmoda)
2 carrot
few spring onion greens
leaves of spring celery (ajmoda)
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsp plain flour (maida) or cornflour
4 tbsp refined oil
salt to taste
chillies in vinegar
chilli sauce to serve
Method
  1. Slice the carrot and onions.
  2. Cut the french beans and celery into 25 mm. (1") pieces.
  3. Cut the rest of the vegetables into big flat pieces.
  4. Mix the flour in 1 1/2 teacups of water.
  5. Heat the oil thoroughly in a vessel and add the vegetables. Cook on a high flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
  6. Add the flour and water mixture. Add the sugar, soya sauce and salt and sook for 2 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with chillies in vinegar and chilli sauce.

Cauliflower, carrots and French Beans stir fried with spring onions and garlic and then soya sauce added to it for the tanginess. Healthy, tasty and quick to make.
