Vegetable Canapés are delicious finger foods made with a topping of various veggies.

Ingredients


5 brown bread slices, lightly buttered
2 tbsp grated paneer (cottage cheese)
1 tbsp cheese spread
1/2 tsp finely chopped parsley
1/4 tsp finely chopped green chillies
1 small carrot , peeled and cut into thin strips
1 small capsicum , cut into thin strips
salt to taste

Method
  1. Cut each bread slice into two diagonally.
  2. Mix the paneer, cheese spread, parsley, green chillies and salt.
  3. Spread this mixture evenly over the buttered side of the bread pieces.
  4. Put the carrot strips into boiling water for a few minutes. Drain and then chill.
  5. Arrange two carrot strips and two capsicum strips on top of each bread slice.
  6. Serve immediately.
