Lightly spiced with green chillies and coriander, this unusual mix of urad dal and paneer carries a healthy dose of B-complex vitamins. For a truly fulfilling experience, eat with hot Parathas.

Ingredients

Method
  1. Soak the urad dal in water for 1 hour. Drain well.
  2. Boil a vesselful of water in a saucepan.
  3. Add turmeric powder, salt and urad dal and cook till it becomes tender.
  4. Drain to remove excess water. Keep aside.
  5. Heat the oil in a pan, add the onions and sauté till they turn translucent.
  6. Add the shahjeera and sauté for a few seconds.
  7. Add the tomatoes, green chillies and chilli powder and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes.
  8. Add the spinach and sauté for 3 to 4 more minutes.
  9. Add the urad dal and coriander and mix well
  10. Remove from flame and serve hot.
  11. Serve hot.
