Toasts with Pineapple Dip ( Healthy Starter Recipe )

Tangy toasts that will make you do a tango! pineapple and mint leaves are tinged with orange juice and spiced up with garlic and chilli powders, in this super-healthy treat.

For The Pineapple Dip
1/2 cup chopped pineapple
2 tbsp chopped mint leaves (phudina)
1 tbsp sliced onions
1/4 tsp crushed garlic (lehsun)
1 1/4 tbsp freshly prepared orange juice
1/4 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp olive oil
1/8 tsp chilli powder
a pinch sugar
salt to taste

Other Ingredients
4 whole wheat bread slices

For The Garnish
a mint sprig

For the pineapple dip

  1. Combine all the ingredients and blend in a mixer till smooth.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and divide it into 4 equal portions. Refrigerate till use.

How to proceed

  1. Just before serving, toast the whole wheat bread slice in a pop-up toaster.
  2. Cut each toast into 3 equal pieces vertically.
  3. Garnish the pineapple dip with the mint sprig and serve immediately with toasted whole wheat bread slices.
