1 recipe of Basic Brown Stock
1 tbsp plain flour (maida)
1 onion , finely chopped
1 carrot, finely chopped
1/3 cup grated processed cheese
1/3 cup fresh cream
1/4 cup Steamed Rice
1 tbsp butter
salt to taste
black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste
a little lemon juice to taste

  1. Heat the butter in a vessel and fry the onions and carrots for at least 3 minutes.
  2. Add the flour and fry again for 1/2 minute.
  3. Add the brown stock. Boil for 20 to 25 minutes.
  4. Add the rice, cheese, cream, salt, pepper and a little lemon juice.
  5. Serve hot.
