Ingredients


1 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup quick cooking rolled oats
1/4 tsp cinnamon (dalchini) powder
2 tbsp powdered sugar
1/2 tsp fruit salt
1 tsp oil
a pinch of salt

Other ingredients
2 tsp butter for cooking

For serving
2 tbsp honey
1 cup orange segments

Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients except the fruit salt in a bowl with enough water. Whisk into smooth batter.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan and grease it lightly with a little butter.
  3. Add the fruit salt to the batter and mix gently.
  4. Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan to make a pancake of 150 mm (6") diameter, cooking on both sides with a little butter till golden brown.
  5. Repeat with the remaining batter to make 5 more pancakes.
  6. Serve hot with honey and oranges segments.

Tasty and much healthier with the addition of oats. Cinnamon adds a lovely flavour to the pancake.

Tried these today. They were very easy and quick to make, and tasty too. I added some dry fruit powder as well to enhance nutritional value for my toddler. Thanks for this recipe! :) 1 more addition to my breakfast menu for my kiddo :)
