Makes 6 servings

Ingredients

6 large sized fresh corn (makai ke dane) cobs
1/2 tsp soy sauce
2 tbsp cornflour
1 1/2 tbsp sugar (approx)
salt to taste
chillies in vinegar and chilli sauce to serve

Method
  1. Grate the corn. Take out a few whole corns. Add 6 teacups of water and cook in a pressure cooker.
  2. Mix the cornflour in 2 teacups of cold water and add to the cooked corn mixture. Put to boil and add the sugar and salt.
  3. Boil for at least 30 minutes. Add the soya souce.
  4. Serve hot with chillies in vinegar and chilli sauce.

Tips
  1. VARIATION :
  2. SWEET CORN SOUP (WITH EGG)
  3. Just before seving, put 1 egg in a tea-strainer and press it with a spoon over the hot soup.
