Ingredients

Method
  1. Clean, wash and soak the dal in water for about 30 minutes. Drain.
  2. Add the turmeric powder, salt and 2 cups of water and pressure cook for 2 whistles or till the dal is done.
  3. Whisk well to mash the dal and keep aside.
  4. Heat oil in a non-stick pan and add the cumin seeds.
  5. When they crackle, add the curry leaves, garlic, green chillies and onions and sauté till the onions turn translucent.
  6. Add the cooked dal, dill leaves, 1 cup of water and bring to a boil.
  7. Simmer for 10 minutes and serve hot.

Tasty!!! Healthy and good source of protein. Suva lends a great taste to the dal. I have this fairly often.
