A visually attractive delicious tea time snack of dainty pastry tartlets filled with slices of fresh strawberries, honey and cream and garnished with pistachios.

Ingredients



For the tarts

For the filling
2 cups strawberries, hulled and sliced
6 tbsp honey
1/3 cup whipped cream
1/4 tsp vanilla ice-cream

For the garnish
4 tbsp chopped pistachios

Method

    For the tarts

    1. Remove the tart shells from the oven when they are lightly browned. Cool.
    2. Invert the patty tins and gently tap the bottom to remove the shells.

    For the filling

    1. Ina bowl, chop 1/2 cup of strawberries and mix with 1/4 cup of whipped cream. Keep aside.
    2. Mix the rest of the sliced strawberries with the honey and chill.
    3. Whisk the remaining cream with the vanilla essence until soft. Keep aside.

    How to proceed

    1. Line the tartlets decoratively with sliced strawberries.
    2. In the centre of each tartlet, put a spoonful of strawberries mixed with cream.
    3. Pipe a swirl of whipped cream on the strawberries.
    4. Sprinkle chopped pistachios on the whipped cream.
    5. Serve chilled

    Tips
    1. Serve the tartlets in dainty paper cups.
    2. When strawberries are not in season, use fresh mangoes.
